Web has been created in 1989 by Tim Berners-Lee in laboratory of physics high energy (CERN) in Switzerland. Òèì was going to create system which would allow to exchange articles and other scientific information between CERN and the Stendfordsky linear accelerator in California. Because of high cost and a slowness of traditional means of correspondence the computer communication through the Internet has appeared the best variant for the publication and delivery of this information.

Web also it was developed so that users could move on it in a nonlinear mode. Unlike books where the reader will move, predictably, from page 1 to page 2, in Web the hypertext is used and it is possible to move from the document 1 to the document 100. Actually, in Web the concept of a final set of the numbered documents almost has no sense. The author of the Web-document can create communication with any already created Web-document.
